I.F.S.M membership is open to MBBS graduates / post graduates /
students perusing MBBS courses.
I.F.S.M has two categories of memberships:
Two categories of individual members
i. Life Members
- MBBS graduates who are registered with the Medical Council of
India
- Medical Graduates of foreign universities who are registered
with the Medical Councils of their respective countries
They will be admitted as life members on one time payment of
life membership fee, which will be decided by the General Body
from time to time. The life members can attend the General Body
meetings and have the right to vote.
ii. Student members
Medical students who are undergoing a course of study in MBBS in
a recognized college / institution in India shall be eligible to be
admitted as a member of I.F.S.M under student membership category on
a one time payment of student membership fee at any time during
their period of study. The General Body will decide the membership
fee from time to time.
Student membership on completion of their MBBS course will cease
to be student members. They shall make fresh application for Life
Membership of I.F.S.M remitting the full life time membership fee.
Even though the student members can attend the General Body
Meetings, they will not have any voting rights.

B. Affiliated State / UT Chapters |
IFSM shall have its chapters in different states and union
territories. These chapters will be named after the State / UT., for
e.g.: Delhi Chapter will be named as "Delhi Chapter of IFSM:.
Till the affiliated State/UT chapters are formed, IFSM will nominate
State Coordinators to promote sports medicine at the State / UT
level.
Membership Fee
The membership fee, applicable from January 1, 2006 is as shown
below -
